Playrock is a derivative of
the technology used in the construction of concrete boats. It
is immensely strong, but so flexible that theming opportunities
are unlimited. The material is sculpted by experts whilst wet,
so as to simulate the appearance and texture of real rock. Colouring
is then added to complete the effect. Adherence to modern standards
is no problem as the material is, in effect, 'made-to-measure'.
The
material can be used to transform and disguise ugly unwanted existing
features or old play equipment such as steel climbing frames.
When combined with certain elements of conventional play equipment
it can create unique and exciting environments in which children
will use their creative instincts to invent games not possible
with conventional equipment alone.
